EverythingForSight.org is a 501(c)3) organization whose mission is to provide funding for and coordinate the delivery of comprehensive eye care to those in need. Founded in 2010, the organization helps hundreds of patients each year by preserving and restoring eyesight, allowing visually-disabled people to return to work, to their families, and more normal lives. Services provided include the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions such as glaucoma and keratoconus, as well as surgical interventions, including cataract extraction, retinal detachment repair, strabismus correction, corneal transplantation, and eyelid/orbital surgery. These services are donated or offered at significantly reduced cost (a requirement for participation in the program) by 19 ophthalmologists, 8 anesthesiologists, 13 optometrists, an Ocularist, and a number of volunteering Registered Nurses and support staff. Participating groups and practices include: Eye Associates of Colorado Springs, Retina Consultants of Southern Colorado, Colorado Springs Eye Clinic, Children’s Eye Center, Wright Eye Center, DaVita Ophthalmology Clinic, Springs Aesthetics, Ron Pelton MD (clinic), Skyline Vision Clinic, Alpine Vision, Pikes Peak Anesthesia Associates, Pinnacle Surgery Center, Mayo Ocular Prosthetics, and Corneal Consultants of Colorado.

100% of community donations are used exclusively for patient care; all professional and support staff are unpaid volunteers and administrative costs and fees are underwritten by participating physicians or by private donations solicited specifically for that purpose.

Funding is obtained through a variety of sources, most notably the annual Songs ForSight benefit concert held in mid-November at Stargazers Theatre – now in its 4th year. The performers at the event are medical professionals, local musical celebrities, and students from local high schools and universities (Students ForSight).

Support EverythingForSight’s mission by donating online or attending this year’s Songs ForSight concert on November 21st at Stargazers Theatre. Tickets will be available starting in September – visit the website often for updates and details.

Are you a medical professional and interested in performing at the Songs ForSight concert? Please contact Jim Barad, MD (jpbarad7@gmail.com). Open auditions and rehearsals for the event are held at Tap Traders on North Nevada the first Wednesday of every month from 6-8.
