Falcon Foundation - From Prep School to PilotsWHO WE ARE:

The Falcon Foundation.  A 501.(c).(3) non-profit.  The second oldest Foundation supporting the Air Force Academy.

WHAT WE DO:

Improve the ability of exceptional young men and women to enter the Air Force Academy by attending one of six prep schools across America. Our Falcon Scholars applied to enter the Academy but were unsuccessful the first time. The Academy selects the best below the “cut line” who do not receive an appointment and offers 60-100 of them a Falcon Scholarship, to include some Recruited Athletes.

HOW WELL DO WE DO IT:

  •        Percent of Falcon Scholars that enter USAFA after their Prep Year……95%
  •        Falcon Scholars as a percent of an entering class………………………4-5%
  •        Leadership positions within the cadet wing junior and senior year……10%+
  •        Cadet Wing Commander or Vice Commander (the top cadet positions the
  •        last 4 years)…………………………………………………………………….3
  •        Graduation Rate…………………………………………………………….80%+
  •                2016……89%
  •                2017……81%
  •                2018……92%

Five USAFA graduates have become Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the last two, General Mark Welsh and General David Goldfein, are both Falcon Scholars!

“The Falcon Foundation was the single biggest springboard in my life. I really do want to help you give that opportunity to others.”  General Mark Welsh III, retired, Chief of Staff, US Air Force.

YOU can invest in helping us continue to build the Air Force of the future, by sustaining the Falcon Scholarship Program. Many outstanding young men and women who aspire to serve their country just need that additional year to sharpen their skills and some come from socio-economic situations that cannot support that additional year in prep school . . . we make sure they can!
